In this time of cost-cutting and limited resources, receiving shelf-ready titles reduces overhead by allowing titles to be quickly put into circulation. Shelf-ready services have helped libraries free up staff, and in some cases, comply with government mandated reduction-in-force (rif) by allowing outsourcing of an often labor and material intensive process.
Modern shelf-ready library specifications are more then just a dust jacket and a property label, now they include options such as bar codes, RFID chips, and corresponding database-ready electronic records. Books & Research can deliver books to your exact specification -- from dust covers of a specific thickness to title-matching MARC records pre-populated with corresponding bar code numbers. Additionally, titles can be shipped shelf-ready or partially assembled allowing the customer to do final assembly in-house. No matter whether you choose partial or full assembly, we guarantee each title within your order will be assembled to your exact specification otherwise it can be returned, free of charge. Furthermore, we use only the best materials and library supplies ensuring that your books will be more durable and last longer.
